My Heart

This is my response to the challenge "Hearts" at Inspire Me Thursday. It's another attempt to explore my hidden feelings around heart surgery.

Quite compelling -- though it freaked me out (and this had nothing to do with you).

After my last surgery, in 2005, I had asked the surgeon during one of my follow-up visits if he had seen my heart. "Yes," he said. "It was beating nicley. I would've taken a picture of it for you if you had asked."

It took me to see the faint I'm Scared in the bottom right ... intense and beautiful piece. JP

Powerfully beautiful Michelle. In my wildest imagination I could never know what you felt.

carla- yes, a very good point. The heart center- where things begin ; )

pangolin- welcome, and thank you.

belinda- appreciate your input.

tikkis- being scared is being human, but it's not easy.

michael, my intent was not to freak anyone out, but to release my feelings. I know you area dealing with some serious health issues. I honor you for expressing what is going on with you, which gave me some push to open up too. Wow, your doctor's comment must have freaked you out! Don't think I'd want to have that picture imprinted in my brain memory. Whew! Keep the faith, I know it's hard.

deb- it was hard for me to admit that.

ascender- the texture is a part I really dig on this piece, thanks.

studio- I hope you never do. But, we all have our trials. Thank you.

crafty- you never know until you try. Plus, it has taken years for me to let this out, to feel safe enough to reveal the anguish. It doesn't rule me, just freeing it after all these years. And I can be grateful for the outcome. ; )

julia- welcome, and thank you for your kind comments.

Btw, I'm starting jury duty tomorrow, thus I could be away from blogging if I'm selected. Civic duty, you know. Peace to all.
