Remember - IF

Swinging flooded her with happy memories! This topic comes at an appropriate time as I have had memories surfacing, mostly those deeply rooted ones, that have remained hidden, mingling with pain. So it is a joy to recall those happy times when innocence and imagination ruled.

This is a Photoshop/Illustrator piece I created in response to the weekly challenge at Illustration Friday. This week's topic is "Remember".

thanks for remembering me of this. I loved the jumping from 1 to 10 with a stone throwing on the parts and then skipping the stone it landed on. Nice colors too. Love the swing, will do that tomorrow too.LOL

I think every person remembers sharing these precious moments with their loved ones. Thanks for the "reminder"; pardon the pun ;)

This is SO GREAT! I love it. It blows me away that some people are so creative...to just come up with the idea is creative...but then to make the idea happen...wow. Very impressive. :)

You've reminded me that I actually did have some good times as a child. I mostly played by myself, but I had a vivid enough imagination to think I wasn't alone :) Paperdolls and jacks were my ultimate favorites. And I almost forgot that I used to be a jump-roping phenom and old guys that sat outside of the American Legion Hall used to give me dimes to entertain them with my fancy footwork moves! Thanks for the huge, huge grin on my face!
I love the happy picture of you on the swings. I hope your days become gentler XXX

Good morning to all of you wonderful people. I am overjoyed to read these fun-filled comments that are inspired by childhood memories. I enjoyed reading them and got a chuckle from many of you. I lol when Kathleen said she'd jump on the swing right next to me ;) And studio- thank you for the kind wishes. I am embracing all the parts of me, and soothing the little girl that needs it the most.

Peace to all.

I love the combination of the conceptual and narrative you have here! I often think about my childhood, because there were so many things that I now realize have stayed with me throughout thebyears - good things - and I am happy to remember them. I hope that as you work through the painful memories, these happy memories you picture stay string!

Yes, I like this card !
I can recognize you swinging...
I like your hair in the wind and how you are smilling...

One of my friend blogger (imparfait présent) did the same work of memory with words
He wrote a pretty text with another person (maya) speaking of the time they were school boy and girl
And saying that still now it is possible to have the innocence of kids and to learn every day such as we are going at school...

Love it! You captured the youthful energy here so well- and it sort of reminds me of an old postcard with the yellowing boarder. Brings back those good memories (not the dress and patty cake for me though haha- and fireflies not bees). It sucks that we have to have the bad memories, etc. hang around as well. Anyway, here's wishing lots of new happy memories for you and everyone!
