Crow

perched on a treetop
amidst winter grey sky
old crow

I wanted to "paint a picture with words", so one could see the scene without the image. I kept it simple like the photo.

This is my first time to post with Poetry Thursday, this week's prompt is "Image Inspired".

This is your first time at PT???

Love the haiku, so deep.

Yes. I've read your poetry and others in response to PT, but never participated. To be honest, I hadn't written poetry in years (except personal love-gone-wrong poems) before discovering One Deep Breath. It's been a joy to get back to it.

I love this image and the words you put with it. Simple things often have the most power.
