Poppy

March poppy teaches perseverance.

I was totally surprised to find this poppy blooming so early in the spring. It's fragile, but persistent! We can learn from it...

This is in gracious response to One Deep Breath, this week's prompt is "Short & Sweet (One Line Haiku)".

The orange is nice against that gray background, and you can really see the texture of the petals. Great shot! :)

What a lovely photo and a beautiful one-line haiku- simplicity in all its greatness...

Poppies must be hardier than they look. Inspiring line, too.

Love the photo, the texture, that your poem focused on the damaged petals.

Fantastic. I don't know which is better . . . the photo or the poem but they work together beautifully!

Well observed. I love the thought of flowers teaching us things. I want to go and get a lesson of my own now.

I agree with jem. All things are our teachers. Very nice.

This was too cute... I really like it, remind me of my grandmother's garden back in the days when I was only 5... so bright and vivid.
