This is posted in response to Illustration Friday. This week's prompt is Subtract. When we lose something we love, it feels like a subtraction from the heart.

Ohhhhhh yesssss. And a very painful subtraction it is, too. Fantastic. It sure packs a wallop, this piece.

A big thank you for your inquiry and comments about this subtraction thing. So often we put ourselves out there and get hurt, but if we didn't - we'd never grow. So, take chances and learn to heal the hurt. Peace to all.

Love your strong graphic style and interpretation! love the black against the rich red and the muscle-like texture. (hey- just read through some of other comments- 'strong' seems to be the the word! ).
