Illustration Friday. This week's prompt is "
Time". I debated whether to focus on death for this week's topic, and decided it felt right. In the past month people close to me have lost loved ones who were not into "old age". So, I felt inclined to explore the time we have on this earth.
Embrace your life, your family, your gifts. Don't waste your time.

thanks for the reminder, it's easy to let the important things get pushed to the back burner
Sorry for the losses you've had recently. I always hurts when people are too young and leave. A good lesson is learned here: use your time wisely.
Nice and simple illo, but tells so much.
so true. we really should make the most of the time we are given. nice work, as always.
So true, very poignant illustration this week.
I do agree. So sentimental:)
It's the Big Stuff, isn't it? Being ready for death at every moment. Sorry for your losses. The longer we get to live, the more we face these losses, I suppose. Good thing we are resilient. Nice illo. Best wishes.
such true words. i also lost many people in my family at an early age...live for now!!!
so appropriate, and great illustration.
neat and simple and a good take of the topic.
I am sorry for the losses.....
How right you are. Remember the guy who made a list of the 100 things he had to do before he died? And he got through about half of it before he died? Well, he lived his life to the fullest. Good for him.
I like the shadings of grey on the headstone. Poignant illo.
Indeed. Nice illo and post.
love
Deep and simplistic work however a message so often in our thoughts or at least mine. Nice.
Great message too.
What a very poignant little piece! All the more powerful for its simplicty.
a jolting reminder, and quite right.
I like it simplicity, but if I may say something to you, I´d remove the word "time" of the gravestone.
I am glad you made this choice. I will keep this image in mind today. A good meditation!
I tried to post comments on your other blog but couldn't. Don't know if it's a Firefox thing or what. Just wanted to say I appreciated what I read.
Sorry for the lossees,I totally agree with your words
Nice work
Check my blog I have an award for you
Thank you for your words. I must learb too, he,he. Well, I´d remove "time" because in this case all we know we are talking about it, the word is not necessary in this clear context and even less when we read your words bellow. Really I´m trying don´t be redundant in my image. By example, if I am drawing Woody Allen, I don´t need put a sign in his jacket with his name... What is your opinion? ;)
wonderful work… so thought-provoking… we should all live as if time had no hold on us… no befores… no afters… only the moment!
Dear Bloggers,
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kind thoughts and wishes. It's touching to share such a illustration/post. It's so important to embrace life fully and those in it.
Tomas- I see your point. I'm still undecided. I included it for those who visit that may not be part of IF, but I can image the impact of seeing just the gravestone and flower. I had a poetry teacher who said you don't use the word "love", you describe it. This is your point. Thank you for sharing your opinion. That is why we do this: to share ideas. I will ponder this more.
Peace to all!
Hi, again. I´m agree with your poetry teacher. But it´s true: we need to know that we are talking about TIME or we need to read your words. The only drawing, without any reference, yes, then it needs the word...
I agree. The very best advise ever.
Thanks for your comment. The words that accompanied your drawing were similar to my personal experience this Jan/Feb. The hope is that those who have passed are at peace and those who remain have courage.
Award for you dear friend.
