Ooooh I love this so much, the illo and the sentiment! In fact it reminds me, there is a pear tree in our backyard that snapped in half because of a huge wind storm, and there were no branches or anything left. It was just a little skinny pole. My husband wanted to pull it out and throw it away, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. That amazing tree sprouted tons of branches and it is fuller and more beautiful than it was before, and as tall as some as the other trees in the yard. Your illo reminded me of this, and it made me so happy!

why is it here in the pacific northwest, that people feel they need to cut down all the trees to make more housing developments? your illustration got my mind thinking... great job!

I have actually moved twice because my landlord had a tree cut down. Both times they were Redwoods. This makes me sad, but gives hope

I'm happily surprised to see the affect this little illo had on everyone. The message came from the heart and apparently that came through.

Thanks to all of you for your gentle comments.

Peace.

Lovely! Makes us question what really is "flawed" and what isn't.

Beautiful illo and message! People would have a tough time surviving here if not for trees- they've been so good to us.
