Illustration Friday. This week's prompt is
"Pretend". My nephew loves art and is quite creative and I hope he keeps at it. We all must start somewhere! Oh, and if anyone can identify the painting, that would be wonderful. It was hanging in the National Gallery of Art (East Bldg).

I love it! So creative.
brilliant!
Hey "zen":
Great collage/digital illusttation for this week's IF topic! I can relate to your inspiration. I have two, young nephews myself (ages 3.5 and 6) who are quite determined and skilled budding artists.
I hope they keep at it because they both show a lot of potential.
Your nephews work is quite good! Some of us spend much of our lifes trying to unlearn bad habbits that cause us tighten up and lose that childlike discovery and spontaneity in our work.
Your nephew seems to have those qualities in abundance. I hope he retains them as he gets older and continues to progress in his creative endeavors.
Thank you for the kind compliments that you left of my blog!
Take Care

Great piece!
Cute little guy ...and may he have joy in the journey.
Very creative image, great colors!
cute... i hope he keeps developing his talents
i love this. right away it made me think of teeny little super guy!
look at the joy! Awesome :)
OOh I love this. Very imaginative and fun! Your nephew is as cute as button and from his work, very talented as well. Great work both of you!!!
what a fabulous doodle! when i think of pretending, i think of children too. they're brilliant at it.
Really cool idea. Love how you put the collage together. Your nephew's art work is wonderful too.
This is great, love the baggy pants on the artist! And your nephew is too adorable, and already very talented!
Thanks for sharing:)
Wow, stunning piece...great combination of a few techniques at a time.
I do agree with, artist too starts somewhere. Gogd luck to this young talented artist!
So good to see this! Hope he keeps with it too! I like how you conveyed this as well. The painting in question escapes my mind, yet is one of my favorites from that building. I know if you check their website, you'll find it there.
I couldn't agree more. Young artists are so full of joy & enthusiasm... it's sad that so many lose their confidence as they grow up, & become convinced that they "can't draw."
Your nephew has two great things going for him-- talent, & a creative auntie to inspire & encourage him!
To all you wonderful bloggers, thank you for your generous comments, hopes and support for my sweet nephew. I can't wait for him to hear all the positive things you've shared.
Have a rewardingl week!
Steve p.s. I tried that and couldn't find the title to save my soul!!
Cute!
Zap, is all of the art on here made by you?
Wow, two talented artists in one blog entry! It amazes me how close to their creativity children are. I'd love to get back there!
Lovely illo!!!
writer on board- If you're asking about the blog itself, most of the art is mine, and when I use something for a collage, I try to give credit to the artist. Most of the photos are mine. I hope this answers your question.
This is wonderful! Your nephew is a fantastic artist! Well done to both of you!
Answered. Love it. Thanks, Z.
thanks for the comment, lovely piece and creative
A very original and creative take on "pretend"!
Very fun image. I like it a lot. I'm so surprised that after 25 comments no one has come up with the name of the painting yet. And me neither.
Children are so very inspiring!
And what a cute inspiration, too!
Thanks so much for your kind comment
and have a wonderful day!
