This is posted in response to Illustration Friday. This week's prompt is Superstition. This of course, made me think about the folklore around black cats, which I just adore!
Your Black Cat has a great personality. The white on his tail will bring good luck as long as he is walking away from you on your right side on any day but the 13th of the month. Of course, if he has a mouse by the tail, the mouse is the unlucky one and you can feel perfectly safe wherever he is.
love the colors and shape! you reminded me of this book I read when I was a girl about good luck symbols and omens. It was so mysterious and wonderful as is your cat!
Love the kitty. I liked your post about the special needs children. My hat is off to those who have the compassion in their heart to care for these children.
nice ilo :D thanks for the link. apparently black cats are supposed to be lucky in asia. I dont know about India as when we were growing up most families had dogs for pets, there were hardly any cats.
Such a great cat...and I believe black cats are lucky as well :) Actually, I believe all cats bring great luck. What's up with people who don't like them? I guess you have to go back to your other post to see if the answer is there... :) (Other cultures....)

It's been fun sharing my little black cat with you and hearing all the lore around them. Thank you for your time and comments.
M....you made me laugh out loud with your comment on my "superstitious fellow!" Of course, he just has to get rid of that umbrella!!
