you flew from D.C.
to Seattle all by yourself
first big adventure
This is in gracious response to
One Deep Breath. This week's topic is
Adventure.
My seven-year-old nephew is so courageous, his first hike he led the way up the mountain, like he'd been doing it all his life.

Wow, he's brave. Lovely photo.
This really warmed my heart. Thank you.
Perhaps he has! What a beautiful poem and photo.
what a spirit of adventure...he is off to a smashing start!
picture's dragging me out to travel - it leaves so much to imagine what is there beyond the hill. Well done.
Michelle, this photo is perfection!! The angle of the clouds, the young boy, (your nephew) alongside the young tree, both with a future to look forward to. Just stunning!
Happy Thanksgiving to you, my friend ;)
wonderful picture and words. He'll go far, starting out like that!
That's a lot of courage needed!
Like the first day of school (I wonder if one of us as written on the subject).
What an adventurous child. I'd love to know him. Beautiful photo.
so brave.
If only more adults would whoop it up when kids risk! The kid in me wishes I had someone to write a haiku for my firsts!!!
I am so grateful for all of you and One Deep Breath for inspiring me to share my very special nephew with you and open his world up even more.
Peace to all.
