Illustration Friday. This week's prompt is
Cracked. In order to replace the value in one's heart, they must "crack" the ribcage open. I can speak from experience; it's not pleasant -in spite of how many jokes I crack about it.

It sounds terrible--and I can't imagine cracking jokes about it (are you a heart doctor?). The illustration, on the other hand, is beautiful!
omg this didn't happen to you did it? wonderful illo though.
No, I'm not a doctor, yes, this happened to me...
glad you like the illo :)
The value in your heart could never be replaced.
I knew what this image meant as soon as I saw it. Your heart images always move me because of your experience.
Hurray to the doctors who have kept you here for us ;)
The image is spectacular by the way!
Thanks for the email. It will be fun to send things to you!
Peace, love and hugs~
My husband had this procedure done thanks to a hole in his heart. My little girls had holes in their hearts to but the doctors were able to correct it without opening the chest cavity. Hope you are feeling great now. Love the art. I can relate.
A big hug for you dear,I'm glad that you are with us, to make this so great work and to live with love you life!!

So beautiful!
Very original idea,I like it
interesting idea. wonderfully done.
I appreciate the kindness and time you shared here. My surgeries were many years ago, and I am grateful for the outcome –a healthy life and awareness of the preciousness of life at a young age. Sometimes, however, I need to be reminded to be how precious it really is.
Peace~
We all need to be reminded of how precious life is and you've done this for us with your beautiful illustration.
