Climbing – IF

This is posted in response to Illustration Friday. This week's prompt is "climbing". I once lived in an old house where the ivy was coming in through the window!

oh, yes! we have a penchant for old houses, and ivy LOVES to sidle up along the walls. my husband is a big ivy fighter - he rips it off whenever he sees it creeping. i love looking at it, though, on others' homes. great drawing!

Great idea for climbing. I like the weight of the colors on this piece too.

I haven't been here for a while and wanted to mention that the "voices" piece turned out awesome.

Well this makes me laugh out loud because my morning glory vines were coming in the house until recently! (The house was just painted and they ripped them all away. so sad.) I had to get a long stick and push the vines out in order to close the french doors!

I love the simplicity of this and the softness. I also thought I was the first to comment but obviously Blogger ate it!

Have a gentle week :)

you have a very cool style.
i had ivy growing all over the back of my house when i first moved in. it attracted THOUSANDS of ants, so we had it removed.
very good illustration, though.

Enjoyed your view from the window...is the ivy climbing in or out? Are you the ivy or the frame...the window? Why can't I just leave well enough alone? Love your concept here. It's my first time over for a visit.:-)

Lovely, lovely. I adore ivy on old houses and buildings. But I hear they're not really good for the structures. Well, who cares. It looks great!

I had been thinking of a good spot to plant money plants in my garden.Still haven't decide where to plant it yet so I leave it in a cup and fill it up with water to keep it survive...

I like the simplicity of your work.

The ivy illo has brought me much joy. For one, taking the time to illustrate, which has always been a thorn in my side due to a 6th grade art teacher reinforcing my self-doubt in my ability to draw, and your beautiful comments from which the ivy inspired. I thank you all, and ole' 59, the house with the ivy growing in through the window.
