Illustration Friday. This week's prompt is
"Voices". I studied Afro-Cuban percussion for four years and learned a great deal about communicating with the drums and how each drum has a "voice". When you get some really hot drummers playing together the conversation that goes on is incredible!

very true... in indian music it is called 'jugalbandi' wherein there are conversations held between different instrumentalists.

I really like this piece! I took some W African drumming a while back and really enjoyed it. This painting shows the rhythm too!
