Container

you faithfully
ferry us across the Sound
day after day

This is in gracious response to One Deep Breath. This week's topic is Container.

I love going on ferries. Living on an island it is our only way to the mainland though a 26 kilometer bridge has been well-considered. Being on the ocean is such a treat. A simple yet so lovely expressed haiku Get Zapped.

I've been on those ferries many times - mostly the one from Edmonds to Kingston heading for the Peninsula. It is only 20 minutes or so but I love every minute. Thanks for the lovely piece.

The rhythm of the poem and Sound speak to each other beautifully.

God bless.

i love the flow of this, and as i read it several times, i kept thinking what a wonderfully poetic word 'faithfully' is!
