Boyhood

in a world
of sticks, sand, seaweed and water
make believe

This is in gracious response to One Deep Breath. This week's topic is Snips & Snails (Boyhood). I had the joy of spending a week this summer with my 7-year-old nephew, who took me back to childhood imagination. It's never too late.

Isn't it awesome where their minds take them? And isn't it even more awesome when they bring us along?

Perfect! I'm a firm believer that travel should only be done with the young and magical!

Great shot and haiku. Wouldn't it be nice to go back to those times?

My youngest boy just turned 13 and I find I'm mourning the loss of their boyhood.

He looks to be lost in the worlds of his imagination - which you captured so well in the photo and haiku!

Lovely.
