Balance

I wrestle with you
finding the perfect balance
waiting for high tide

This is in gracious response to One Deep Breath. This week's topic is Balance.

both the photo and the haiku blow me away! (which is to say, they unbalance me :-)

Oh, thank you. What a fabulous photo. And your words really capture it. :-) ...and the next unbalancing in the offing ....

Interesting. The image and words are quite interdependant. The image is striking alone as well.

Wow. I really like the transient quality which "high tide" infers. I love the shadow circle of the rock.

Love the synergy between words and image!

Truly beautiful. So much to think about. Stories to write to go with the words and picture. And ultimately the question of whether it will still be standing once the tide comes in.

Beautiful photo! It makes me wonder what will happen at high tide... loss of balance? Great tension.

Brilliant, poem and photo both. Have I seen that photo before here? Something is knocking at the back of mind about it. And you.

I have friends that do this, too. I love how the shadow is nearly round and the rock itself is oval...something to be said there, I think.

I'm overjoyed by all the response to this post. It's so much fun to share my love of balancing rocks. If only I could make a living doing this ;p

What I love about doing it is, the challenge, which teaches me patience, the impermanence, the nature of all things and the pure beauty. I hope you all give it a try sometime.

How you were able to capture the rock as such is amazing to me. Found you by searching for Zin and Zen. Visit me when you get a chance.:-)
