What is it about berries that unleashes something primal?

NIce poem, we have mostly blueberries here in Maine. I miss picking blackberries, even with the thorns and stained fingers.

Mmmmmm....I used to pick blackberries when I lived in Florida. LOVED them! Unfortunately, wild ones are in short supply in Manhattan. :)

Another yummy haiku prompt and berries get everyone juiced up ;p For those who are lacking blackberries in their midst, rest easy knowing we have a surplus here in the PNW!

Happy Autumn everyone!

Our blackberries were nothing that juicy (lack of rain, I think) such feasts are nore a childhood memory - stained purple, as your haiku.

Yummy. Stained lips, stained fingers, stained tongue. Delightful.

Your picture makes me salivate. Nice pick up on the thorns and sweetness.

Wonderful. Reminds me of Mtume's 80's hit, "Juicy Fruit."
