Illustration Friday. This week's topic is
"Rejection". Most of us have felt rejected; small, void of color, lonely, left out, knowing everyone else is having a great time. But, then again, we see the "outside" of people, we really don't know what they are concealing. Remember, we are all connected. Find compassion in your own heart for yourself and others...

I love this Michelle! It's so perfect for the prompt. I didn't want to do anything negative either. You've come up with a perfect solution, and as always, thought provoking and kind :)
Wishing you a magical weekend! ~L~
I responded to this, it really does an excellent job of communicating the feeling (maybe too well!)
Have a great weekend.
You really captured this topic in a wonderful way. i love this piece, and you perspective.
very cool great concept piece
Compassion......what a beautifull word!
Excellent concept.
cata.
Very intriguing piece. I love the colors and the format.
beautiful post!
I like the fact that the black one is alone - you mentioned that it seems void of color, but actually it's soaking in all color. Doesn't white reflect all light, while black reflects none? So then that black one is drawing in everything! Talk about being connected! :)
(Hope I'm not wrong about that - I can't really remember how colors work!)
Lovely illustration and wonderfully kind words...everyone has felt rejected at some point and we all would do well to consider the feelings of others. Great work!
Wonderful use of colour! This is the kind of work I like best, simple but powerful.
And the commentary is great too :)
the poor little dot! I agree, I love your commentary too.
Oh, that poor little black dot. What a perfectly wonderful illustration of rejection!
perfect!
Wonderful concept. Isn't it amazing how something so simple can say so much?
simple and perfect
Thanks to all of you for your time and comments. I had fun with this prompt. Just let the idea flow out and this simple piece arrived.
Steve, you are right about black absorbing all the light (color waves), this is true with pigments, but, the opposite in the RGB color mode. But, I see your point, and thought about that, too.
Peace.
This simple design sends a strong message! Nicely done! really great!
Love this post!!!!! You said and illustrated it all perfectly.
Peace to you
Well done and well said!
