I love woolie bears! That's what we call them in PA! Sometimes they get out onto the road and it's hard to drive around them!
This was a lovely reminder!

I LOVE this photo -- so wooly and adorable! Your haiku is great and I'm so happy you didn't step on him.

This reminds me of the caterpillars that we had in New England. One day the little girl next door kept pointing to them and saying "miss-me-mops, miss-me-mops!" Her mother told me she was trying to say Gypsy Moths! Too funny.
Thanks for stopping by. I'm glad you enjoyed "She's Come Undone." I read that so long agao now, I don't remember the ending! I'm curious enough to perhaps read it again. There's another book you may like called "Maybe the Moon" by Armistaed Maupin. It may be available at the library but I think it's out of print now. I remember crying a lot but saying "hurray" at the ending.
Have a wonderful, gentle week :)

Your haiku always make me smile :)
Lovely as usually and such a cute picture! It's rare to find ones like that here, usually they are more spiny looking.

Hi Getzapped,

I must say that's a beauty. The contrast of the hairy one against the stones is captivating.

It was fun playing with this prompt. It seems this bug business takes many of us back to our childhoods. Happy Summer to all of you ;)

Wow - he is an interesting fellow. Well noticed - both him and the oppurtunity for a haiku!

I love how much fun we all seem to be having with the prompt. Great photo and words. I guess you were lucky as well, if you were barefoot.

ha ha! looks liek a pipe cleaner. not a great disguise in the great outdoors. or maybe she is just trying to be noticed! if you see her again, tell her you wrote a poem about her. it might make her day!

How well that fits into classic haiku, conversation, amiable tenderness. Glad to see the furry fellow too.
